Hello! I'm Erin White, owner of TheKnittervention! I'm a Michigan based knitwear designer, who dabbles in crochet, and who spins yarn from time to time.
TheKnittervention came about in 2011 when I ran out of cigarettes on a Wednesday night after my school-aged daughter had gone to bed. With not being able to run pout to get a new pack, I needed to keep my hands, and my mind, busy. So I grabbed a pair of take-out chopsticks from the kitchen drawer, grabbed the yarn my daughter was using for finger weaving, and googled "how to knit", found a YouTube video, and haven't smoked since!
I'm glad to say that I've since replaced those chopsticks with better tools of the trade!
My patterns as of late have all had either cabling, color work, or a smidge of both!
My goal in 2019 is to create at least 12 patterns this year for a book I want to publish in 2020. I hope that you, if you're still reading this, will help me in that task! If you test knit for me, you will be helping greatly! Test knitting is the last, and most important IMHO, step in the design process. You are the final set of eyes and hands on my patterns before they get released into the public, and your work is greatly appreciated!
I look forward to working with you on the Fiberly platform!
