Description
Hey! My name is Kate Groop, and I am working on expanding my knit repertoire. I am so thankful for Fiberly, and the opportunity to be one of the launch designers. Cool platform, right?
Thanks so much for taking a look at my first test knit on Fiberly! I designed this sweater for my daughter Addie, who just turned 9. It is worked top-down, and has unconventional color work, in fun geometric rectangles throughout the whole sweater. It has a swingy shape at the hem, so it will be flattering to many body types! That's why I need test knitters for this project: I am grading the pattern to fit a Girl's 12 - Women's 2XL. So, I am looking for 6-7 knitters, as I have knit the girl's size 12 already. There is a loose deadline for this test-knit. (August 25th), and I am easy to reach by email or Instagram direct message, text, call, or whatever will be easiest for you. I can work with you!
Compensation for this test knit is THIS free pattern once it is completed this summer, and a beret hat pattern from my Etsy shop. (The Hats Out Of The Bag) Thank you for considering working with me!
Sample is knit in Manos Del Uruguay Fino, a wool/silk blend, and leftover scraps in fingering weight yarn from other projects. Any fingering weight yarn which fits the gauge should be fine for this. I also think that mohair would be wonderful in this design. That is what I used for the bright red blocks of color in the sample.
