Description
(Please note: this headband is part of a set. Please see An Bealach cowl. Testers are welcome to knit one or both pieces.)
An Bealach means ‘the way’ in Irish. This set was inspired by the Camino de Santiago and a friend who completed the Camino a couple years ago.
This headband has a variation of the purl shell stitch to draw on the Camino’s shell symbol. It uses a provisional cast on and Kitchener stitch to seam. Garter stitch shaping helps keep the item from feeling too bulky at the back of the head.
As this is my first design, I am only able to offer this final pattern as compensation; however, all testers will receive patterns for the set (both the cowl and the headband). Additionally, all testers who sign up by midnight GMT on Sunday the 21st February will be entered into a raffle for two skeins of yarn (see my Instagram @cniotaillaimhe) for more info!
