This beanie was inspired by my many days of walking home from high school during the winter in Minnesota -- I always cut through the soccer fields and our neighbors backyards rather than walking on the sidewalk because it was the shortest way home, but that meant there was never a path and I always felt like I was traversing an arctic tundra to get home! Brr!
This pattern will be a free pattern used by Luke (aka Wool Enthusiast) with Huggable Happiness Corp. (teenage run non-profit) in their effort to compile free patterns for knitters interested in helping create warm hats/mittens/scarves to underprivileged kids in his community.
Note: Test knit will be conducted in my Ravelry Group.

EXPECTATIONS:
To successfully complete this test knit, I ask that you:
Track the yardage you use
Let me know any time you have doubt about something in the pattern, you find a mistake (actual or suspected), an instruction seems unclear, etc. If you are wondering about it, I am sure other knitters are too!
Finish your project by the deadline noted above, including blocking and photographing.
Create and complete a project page (including gauge, needles, yarn used, and photos of the finished piece) and link it to the pattern page with the pattern is released. (I’ll let you know in this thread once it is released)
Bonus: If you are willing to share photos on social media (both in progress and of your FO), you would be my hero!
