Test knitting will start no earlier than Monday, 8 July.
The Chena River Travel Socks are inspired by Alaska's Chena River that flows through much of Alaska's Interior. I started this pattern at the Fairbanks Airport waiting for my flight back to Michigan.
These socks are a deceivingly quick knit, so the 3 week test knitting wondow should be more than enough time!
These have an easy texture throughout using rows of purls with a alternating simple eyelet pattern and stockinette.
This pattern is written so that any knitter can follow, and can use a heel type of their choosing. I ask that for this test knit, that you follow the short-row heel pattern I have written, just so I can make sure that it can be easily followed.
I've included links to several YouTube tutorials made by Very Pink Knits for any skills that are needed for this pattern.
I'm looking for at least one test knitter for each size of these socks, small (60 sts cast on), medium (64 sts cast on), and large (68 sts cast on).
***I have all the large test knitters needed, I need test knitters for the medium and small sizes only.
If you sign up and are chosen to test know, I will forward you a link to my Slack Test knitting channel. From there you can upload progress pictures, IM and chat in real time with myself and fellow test knitters, and receive any pattern updates that come from the test knitting process.
I also ask that you create a Ravelry project page. I will include a link to the pattern for you, and you will receive a free copy of the pattern, as well as any updates that are made. You will also be able to pick a pattern from my Ravelry store as a gift! (This includes patterns that are still being written, so you can request a future pattern of mine if wanted.)
I look forward to working with you!
