About The Pattern
The Cozy Winters Cowl is one of five patterns in the “My Forever Home” Collection, a collection of patterns relating to my home state: Montana. One of the main characteristics that I associate with Montana is its cold, snowy winters, so I designed this cowl to represent the snow while simultaneously designing a cozy winter accessory.
This cowl features a faded texture, such that the texture at the bottom of the cowl is the most dense, and that texture fades into stockinette as it approaches the top of the cowl. Each section is named after a varying level of snowstorm (from whiteout to flurries).
This pattern is worked bottom up. Variations for circumference and length are provided. The gray and blue sample is worked in the medium size.
This pattern includes written and charted instructions.
