Skills RequiredSeamed Garments
I am very flexible with how my testers choose to seam together this garment. I will allow you to seam this together to create a cardigan with or without buttons OR a V neck sweaters. You can also choose to create a high low hem line OR a traditional hem. If you have any other idea on how you'd like to style this garment, just let me know. I made this design this way to that it would be simple and flexible, flattering many different body types and sizes. The directions have been written out for each of these styles to be done, and I will be making a V neck cardigan along with the test.
Materials and sizes
This top uses Berroco Modern Cotton DK. This is a very fine, DK weight cotton blend with lots of drape. This top is made with a 3.75 mm hook. Any yarn with lots of drape that recommends a 3.5-4.0 mm hook would work with this pattern. For my second version I'm actually using a Sport weight yarn called Yuri by Classic Elites and simply moving up one size in the pattern.
Sizes are as follows
XS and S needs 918 yards
Med and Large needs 1170 yards
XL and XXL needs 1435 yards
3XL to 4XL needs 1717 yards
5XL needs 1905 yards
. I am going to allow 20-40 days for the test to be complected, wanting finished garments and notes between May 10 and May 25th. Normally I roll with the punches and if testers need more time or can't complete for any reason I am very accommodating. I understand how difficult this last few weeks has been and how difficult it will be.
I haven't used Facebook before for a test, so I think since we are all distancing, now would be a good time to try it out.
I do want testers who can:
1-take photos of their work as the progress through he steps.
2-Let me know about any errors you find int he pattern.
3-let me know your option about how the pattern is written
4-Let me know how the final garment fits
In return I will give everyone a final copy of this pattern and one other of your choice.
