Yarn Requirements2 colours for Fingering weight single ply yarn - more details in the description.

Skills RequiredLongtail Cast-on Pick Up Stitches Working from a Chart Working in the Round
Earlier this year I released the Uisneach Cowl, and since I finished, the leftover yarn was calling to me to make a matching hat. That's how the Uisneach Hat was born, which matches, but is also kind of is its own thing.
Now it's ready for testing, so without further ado, these are all the details:
The hat is worked from the bottom up, with a folded brim. It contains a mosaic section, which creates the maze design. Mosaic is a very simple form of colourwork, where you are only working with one colour yarn at a time
Two sizes: Adult, Adult Large
Hat circumference: 48, 58 cm/19, 23”
To fit head circumference 54, 65.5cm / 21 ¼, 25 ¾ “
I used a Single ply, Fingering weight 100% Merino. The Single ply in particular allows the yarn to expand slightly during blocking, which gives the hat a very cozy feel.
Sample worked in Malabrigo Mechita (384m/420 yards per 100 grams) in colourways 83 - Water Green (Colour A) and 412 - Teal Feather (Colour B)
Colour A: approx. 60 m/ 66 yards, 70 m/ 77 yards
Colour B: approx. 115 m/ 126yards, 150 m/ 164 yards
I'd like you to use yarn that you have in stash, or any yarn that feels affordable to you. This hat will be gorgeous in yarn at different price points. Please let me know if I can help you with picking the perfect yarn.
3.5 mm (US size 4) circular needle, or size required to match the gauge
2.5 mm (US size 1.5) circular needle, or size 1mm smaller than the gauge needle size
Stitch Marker (One to mark the end of a round, optionally 4, 5 more to place between pattern repeats)
This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters, or adventurous beginners, who are looking to expand their skills
The pattern has been professionally edited, so I am not expecting you to go through the pattern to find mistakes (although in case you notice some I of course appreciate you letting me know). I would like you to let me know whether the pattern is easy to understand, or whether I can improve on anything.
Testers are required to complete their version of the hat by the deadline. A test is considered completed, once the hat is finished, and images of the hat are posted on Instagram. A Ravelry project page is optional, while Ravelry remains inaccessible to many of us.
For the last test, I created a chat with all testers on Instagram. This is optional to join, but I think it added something great to the test.
