Fair Isle Seamed Garments Sweater/Cardigan - Bottom Up Working from a Chart Working in the Round
Description
This sweater is worked from the bottom up. After the ribbing, markers are placed and 6 - 14 fair isle dogs are worked depending on the size. There are 18 dog charts to choose from and can be arranged in any way desired.
After the dogs, a repeating pattern is worked. This can be done with 2 or 3 colours.
Then the main body is worked up to the under arms. Next, the sleeves are worked one at a time and then joined to the body where a raglan sleeve decrease is done up to the neck. In the last 10 rows for all sizes, the neck is worked flat before stitches are picked up and knit across the neckline so the neck ribbing can be finished. Underarms are stitched closed as the last thing before being finished.
