Skills RequiredFair Isle Pick Up Stitches Sweater/Cardigan - Bottom Up Working in the Round
This sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up. After the ribbing, the pocket is worked flat, using fair isle on both knit and purl rows. Then the body in worked to the top of the pocket where they are joined together. Next, the train is worked in fair isle to the underarms. The stitches are put on hold while the sleeves are knit, then they are joined to the body where a raglan yoke is worked flat with stitches cast being off, allowing for the button band. Stitches are then picked up and knit for the button band and neck band. Lastly, the underarm stitches are grafted using the kitchener stitch.
This sweater has an engine chart, a caboose chart, and 4 train car charts to choose from for the remaining train. These can be combined in a customizeable way to make a unique train sweater.
