I LOVE Billow yarn from Knit Picks. I love knitting with it. I love the weight of the finished product. This super soft yarn is perfect for baby blankets.
The problem with Billow is there is no stitch definition. I’ve started and ripped out a dozen baby blanket patterns because the lace and star and eyelet stitches get completely lost in the thick and thin nature of the yarn. I designed this pattern to highlight the beauty of Billow through bobbles and cables.
The blanket is constructed from the center, outwards and finished with a bobble bind off. Many knitted blankets have small holes, which babies can work their fingers into. This blanket does not have any eyelet holes, and babies love the texture of the bobbles.
32 inches in diameter.
