Hello! I am Jessica; I am primarily a knitter, but I love dabbling in all sorts of crafts!
I'm from Montana (but living in Wyoming), and I love all of the cozy, practical knits. I've been knitting for about 10 years, but it wasn't until my last year of college (fall 2017) that I became active in the online knitting community and began to try some new things (knitting in the round, hats, shawls, etc). When I pulled out my knitting again over my last winter break, I rediscovered my love for knitting -- the way the click of the needles and the squish of the yarn relaxed my stress and anxiety. By then, I'd also discovered that my engineering education was not my "thing."
I've always had a love for crafts and creative work, but some influential people in my life had convinced me that creative work (I was considering graphic design or photography) was not worth the limited paycheck. And perhaps that it is true for some people. But, here I am, five years after conceding to that theory. I work for an interior design firm, own Snickerdoodle Knits (selling chunky knits on Etsy), and enjoy test knitting, sample knitting, and early knitting design.
