I got started knitting because it meant I could spend more time with my Nan, who had just been diagnosed with lung cancer at the time. She taught me the basics, but unfortunately I didn't get good enough quick enough for her to teach me everything else she had stored away. Since then I've been self teaching through videos, free patterns and just buying ones I like to get myself into it.
Since then I've completed one knitted chevron blanket for my boyfriend and I'm currently working on my matching one for myself (His took me about 60 hours, so I took a break before starting mine which has racked up 49 hours so far!).
I've knit stuffed toys, blankets, hats, gloves, scarves and shawls; and crocheted baby blankets, stuffed toys, baby booties, baby headbands, numerous granny squares and shawls (Primarily the Lost Souls shawl that's a free pattern on ravlery). I'm open to pretty much everything!
I'm looking to increase my portfolio of finished objects, as well as having a chance to increase my skill set, and if I can help someone out along the way that makes it all the better!
