I am retired after 40 years at two hospitals. Wife, Mom, Grandma, artist and Master Gardener. It’s been a juggling act.
I’m glad to have some time for friends and knitting.
The last few years I’ve done mostly sweaters and socks as well as baby items and some fun charity projects. Also a great poncho and long vest
I learned to knit from my Grandma and Mom. Grandma did a lot of knitting for our men who went ice fishing and devised finger and thumb mittens so they could bait their hooks. She didn’t read English so no patterns. She would handle an item and count stitches and memorize them. They both taught me to be resourceful and figure out any craft.
We get a lot of cold weather here in Wisconsin so knitted items are very welcome.
I haven’t loaded a lot to Ravelry. I’m going to have to work on that.
Happy Spring and good luck with your project here.
